4 classical elements / 4 classical properties Courtyard Project

The concept idea I choose to drive my final design for the courtyard at Uni Greenwich was based on astronomy , I had to relate the word Connectivity to the idea as well. I believe everything is connected one way or another , so I thought about taking the 4 classical elements of ancient concepts and applying them to 4 other properties . Water , Fire , Earth , and Air can be connected to a certain activity , cool intervention , or create a emotion for the visitor ,for example , earth = rock climbing wall , and water= hydroponics wall

QUICK TASK 4

This task was for delivering a enclosed garden with a grid layout for the placing of the trees. I choose mature trees for my scheme. Now in the middle of fall trees are finally changing colour and I wanted my garden to reflect with trees which have a beautiful aesthetic autum colour. Ginko biloba because of its buttery yellow colour in Autumn and next to it Prunus persica var.nectarina 'Lord Napier' because of its amazing pink flowers and name. Both are suitable for : Moisture = well drained / Soil =clay, chalk, sand or loam / PH= acid, alkiline, or neutral.

Flashback to Year 3000

For second year I was introduced to Auto-cad and 3D Auto-cad modeling , it was difficult at first and daunting but once you learn the basics its not as hard as it seems. The brief to this project was to design a ''Garden of Imagination'' first the plan was drawn on auto-cad , then I took it into 3D auto-cad, extruded everything, took some screenshots and finally rendered the shots on Photoshop. I was inspired by a public plaza I visited in Prague. Simple and fun :)
